The schools Department at Premiera ensures that each school within the group has central oversight and management. Each Principal reports to and is guided by the department – creating cohesion in practice and consistency across the group. Whilst every school within the group is unique there will be a commonality of outlook, feel and approach to certain aspects that ensure the standards and outcomes are centrally driven. The department identifies trends in education as well as local and international developments and provides clarity to schools within Premiera to ensure that our practice is informed, up-to-date and providing students with the best of 21st century skills ready to succeed.
“I am David Miles, Premiera’s chief Schools Officer and I have over 25 years of experience in independent education both in the UK and internationally. Here at Premiera, we aim to deliver outstanding education, driven by excellence for all. We believe it is our responsibility to prepare learners to actualise their potential in a future yet to be envisaged. Through our holistic, values based and excellence-orientated curricula we want to ensure that our students become interesting and interested people – ready for both the next stage in their education and, more importantly, for the rest of their lives.”
Premiera utilises Apple and Microsoft 365 environments, iSAMS and Canvas LMS. We partner with academic institutions, industry, government, and EdTech experts. We create cohesive policies on admissions, inclusion, data protection, staff capability, and student behaviour.
Includes pedagogical training, subject-specific workshops, technology integration, inclusion training, leadership development, research-based learning, and communication skills enhancement. The department utilises in-house sessions, external workshops, online courses, conferences, and certification programs.
The performance of each Principal is managed through regular assessment and monitoring, feedback mechanisms, and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This includes evaluating training effectiveness, staff performance reviews, and monitoring operational and financial efficiency and educational outcomes.
The Schools Department ensures that pupil, staff and school progress is reported in a timely fashion to all stakeholders. This takes the form of the Principals’ KPIs in their reporting upwards to Premiera as well as downwards to parents and pupils.
Each school reports through its Principal to the Schools Department of Premiera on academic, pastoral, financial, careers and holistic matters.
