Message from the Founder

Having started elite schools in Istanbul, Baraa Bakkar founded Premiera Education Group in 2020 in response to what he perceived as a widening gap in education caused by the confluence of a number of related and unrelated events – the COVID-19 pandemic, the advent of AI, the decision of hundreds of thousands of teachers to leave the profession, the innate capacity of the new generation of learners to innovate, inquire, discover, problem-solve, and above all to willingly embrace the greatest existential challenges now facing humanity, the crises of sustainability, continuity, and the imperative to reassess our previous paradigms and reconfigure them to incorporate Islamic values, the humanistic principles of equity, inclusion, child protection, and safeguarding, and the vision to redesign learning spaces that are more conducive to our new reality, that learning can happen anytime and anyplace.

Baraa has put together a team of global experts to drive his vision and the combined experience of the Premiera team adds up to over 150 years of work in education spanning all continents. Our executives have succeeded in transforming education in the UK, USA, Canada, China, Ireland, Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Each executive has impressive qualifications to support his experience in the field, and these credentials have been brought together within a single team.
