Baraa Bakkar founded Premiera Education Group in 2020 after establishing elite schools in Istanbul. He recognized a growing educational gap due to various factors: the COVID-19 pandemic, the rise of AI, a massive departure of teachers from the field, and the unique abilities of the current generation to innovate and tackle pressing global issues. He believes in the importance of integrating Islamic values, promoting equity, inclusion, and child safety, and reimagining learning spaces to reflect the belief that learning can occur anywhere and at any time.
